why does Ebay protect buyers and not sellers?

because it is the buyer who pays for the fees in Ebay. if a seller leaves, then their buyers just go to the seller's competitors and buys their items. their sales go up and thus the fees go up and Ebay makes the same amount of money. thus, if a seller leaves, it has no influence on Ebay's profits. currently getting my MBA and Ebay's policies are quite brilliant. the policies allow capitalism to take place and the weak sellers, like any failure business person, is allowed to die off, and the strong sellers are allowed to make more money. those who want Ebay to protect weak sellers, are socialist. Ebay, to surive has to protect buyers to build up consumer confidence. weak sellers are really irrelevant because they don't effect Ebay's profit, and Ebay will always attract strong sellers because they will have access to Ebay's 6M buyers. Ebay has a duty to protect buyers, but Ebay has no duty to protect sellers, because Ebay's only duty for seller is to supply the sellers access to its millions of buyers.
